Art has exceeded our expectations in every important area. Specifically, he is professional, knowledgeable, and has integrity. His professionalism has shown from day 1. He arrives early, always communicates well, and knows the greater San Diego markets well. He is incredibly knowledgeable about home sales and purchases. My wife and I both have long standing careers in finance so real estate isn’t terribly far from our field of knowledge. However, Art consistently demonstrates he can provide with a better solution to every issue or goal we have had. He knows the financing components. He understands the proper value of a home. He communicates well with the other parties. Art has steered us clear of much more than what he’s encouraged us to consider. For such a large financial decision that is refreshing for us. My relationship with Art evolved over a period of several years and was sparked by Art’s prospecting call to me inquiring about my interest in selling. When the time was right, I called Art and, as I expected, he delivered. We executed a Listing Agreement and closed on the sale six months later. To say Art is a professional — although true — kind of misses the key point: Art is a partner in the sales process. We worked through a few very routine issues and, at each step in the process, I felt like we were collaborating on the issue and the resolution of it. Due to a job relocation I had to do my home search online and remotely from 600 miles away. My meeting with Art was rather random, but I totally lucked out! The best thing about Art was that he was extremely responsive to emails and texts. I am not a big phone user since I may be on calls, meetings, or traveling myself, but Art seemed like he was always connected to his phone which was extremely helpful! He knew the ins and outs of the multiple condo units we were looking at (including the maintenance guy at the complex I eventually ended up buying). Art was patient through multiple offers and never made me feel rushed. His connection to one of the largest brokers in the area allowed me to eventually put an offer in (and close) on a unit that didn’t even come up on MLS so that was a big plus too.

I listed with these folks because of the detailed knowledge of both the market and the activities in the area that a potential buyer or out-of-area buyer’s agent might have. I was selling a high end property and wanted the right people and knowledge to handle this limited market segment.
Not only did this work out very well but the attention to every showing, both with Newman agents and other agents, was always followed by thanks and compliments from the potential buyers agents. Gregg Neuman’s targeted marketing approach works. It was the quality of his informative mailers that we received every time a unit in our condominium went under contract, that caused us to call him when it was time for us to sell. It was absolutely the right decision. Being former residential real estate brokers from Maryland, thru the years, we’ve dealt with more than 100 agents and brokers. When rating them all, Gregg is at the top our list.

When we first met him, we were quickly struck by the quality of his materials and impressed by both how he presented himself and his approach to selling houses. It was more than show. When it came time to sell my condo in Little Italy, I decided to give my listing to Neuman & Neuman because I believed they were the best real estate company in downtown San Diego. They not only met, but exceeded, my expectations!

My agent, Art Lewis, supported by a very professional team, did a great job for me from the day he listed my condo through the closing of escrow. Art has years of experience in the downtown real estate market and is very knowledgeable. He was able to determine the true value of my condo and went about an extensive marketing campaign, starting with a professional photography team whose pictures showed off my condo in the best possible light.

We got an excellent offer within a matter of days and Art’s skillful negotiations got me full asking price! Throughout the whole process, Art was always available and very responsive to my questions and concerns. Whenever an issue came up, Art calmly and thoughtfully came up with the appropriate solution.

Art Lewis was the listing agent on a recent sale of our San Diego home. The sale and proceeds of this house were an important component of our retirement plan so I had high hopes and very high expectations for the guidance I would get in preparing this home for sale in the “very active” San Diego real estate market. My wife and I began with a three page listing of work we thought might be needed and how we would approach it. Many months before the house went up for sale, Art responded to our invitation to visit and advise us about each and every one of our “to do” items. The first way he helped was to listen carefully and respectfully to all we had to say about each item. When we were done reviewing our items he addressed each and every item with an informed yes or no, and then made additional suggestions we had not considered. It was immediately evident to us that Art was intuitively clear about how to approach each item. His confidence became our confidence, and we spent the next four months resolving the “to do list” and then reviewing the work with Art by phone, email, and when needed, in person. The team at Neuman and Neuman gave us guidance on selling our house. With that in mind and with the help of Scott Steingrebe we had four offers on the first day the house was on the market. We were then led through the complicated paper trail until the closing of escrow was competed. At the same time we were assisted in buying another house with the help of Ruth Allsbrook. We were able to purchase the new house and have the escrow close two days after escrow closed on the old house. We couldn’t have ask for a smoother transition and we owe it to the teamwork of Neuman and Neuman.

We met Marsha through an inquiry into a property in Little Italy which we were interested in seeing. We were only interested in a downtown condo, and with very specific requirements; Marsha immediately took our requirements seriously, and clearly knew the downtown condo market. We were preapproved for a loan early in our search, so we were also able to let Marsha know up front what our upper limit was.
From there, Marsha took care of everything, and the process was as smooth as could be. She was very attentive, energetic, and never lost sight of what we wanted, what our minimum requirements were, and what our limit was on price. Having been through it before, we found it refreshing to not have to fight anyone’s tendencies to go outside of the boundaries we set early on.
Marsha arranged for multiple showings for units that we were interested in, along with some that she thought we would like based her getting to know us. We very quickly narrowed our search down to a great unit on Cortez Hill. Once we decided to make an offer on the property, Marsha was superb in anticipating issues with the seller’s agent, which probably saved us weeks in the process. She stayed on top of things all the way through closing, and beyond. At no time did I ever get the sense that she was just in it to make a sale.

Art is a master of his craft. I had never sold a home before I asked Art to be my agent. I had kept my Cardiff house as a rental when I decided to move to a condo downtown to be near work. Now I was ready for another transition. Once we got started I knew I had made an excellent choice. In our initial meeting Art laid out what the process would look from preparing the unit for showing, photographs, and marketing to extensive written materials on costs associated with a sale. The estimates he provided were spot on. He was knowledgeable about the kinds of offers I would get, strategies for counter offers, and acceptance of the final offer. He responded to my e-mails or texts quickly, usually within minutes. Answers to my questions were explained clearly and he has a way of communicating that helped me learn about the process instead of merely providing a simplified answer. During the few months we spent on selling my condo Art was also locating and showing me houses that were for sell with features and pricing that met my needs. He has an eagle’s eye for details that might require a closer look. He is not about just finding a property that meets my needs on the outside but from the foundation or floorboards to the roof and environs. My husband and I worked with Ruth and Gian! What was unique about this experience is the effort it took to fulfill our goal of becoming homeowners. We had been struggling to find a home in our price range for the size we needed and coincidentally Ruth listed a different home and she was honest with us. I met Art over a telephone inquiry regarding a property he was selling. I told him that I had a condo I would be selling in approximately one year. He patiently kept in touch every 3 months or so to see what my status for selling was at that time.
He has a very calm manner to him and I found that he was genuinely interested in helping me sell my condo. He was always available and most responsive to returning my phone calls and emails. He is extremely efficient and detailed, but also has a Great sense of humor which I thoroughly enjoyed.
There was never any pressure to make hasty decisions. I felt very comfortable with each step we took and he certainly helped with avoiding any unexpected surprises. I liked the fact that I was able to sign forms online which made the process easier and more enjoyable. It was good to have a person who had experience and expertise in real estate as well as being totally supportive, courteous and not full of himself. He allowed me to express my opinions and excepted a lot of my input as worthy.
Even though he had other clients, I always felt that I was his most important focus at that time. I would high recommend him to anyone interested in buying or selling their home. Terrific–Just Terrific!!

We have been involved in 5 different buy or sell real estate transactions in the past 3 years and Gregg Neuman and his team are the most professional, competent and efficient realtor group we have ever worked with. We listed the unit ~6% above what two other realtors had advised us to list it, based on Gregg’s advise. We sold it at list price in less than 10 days. It was an extended escrow based on a seller’s contingency. Gregg negotiated the reimbursement of taxes and HOA fees after the first 60 days of escrow and 7% earnest money of we didn’t close. The Neuman team executed through to close with almost nothing required of us except an occasional phone update and accepting and cashing the HOA and tax checks. This was all done with the utmost courtesy and professionalism. I could not recommend the Neuman team more highly!

Selling a family rental house long distance to pay for mother’s care could have been difficult and stressful.

Art made the selling process simple and fast. He is incredibly knowledgable, easy to talk to and exceptionally professional.

He saved us many trips in assisting with preparation details. The house was to be sold “AS IS”. Home and termite inspections were ordered by Art to know the condition of the house and price correctly. He arranged for trash hauling and a deep cleaning prior to pictures and open house.
The house received multiple offers and entered into contract 2 days after the open house for above asking. Escrow closed in 22 days.

My sister and I were charged with selling a family home in San Diego. We live outside the area and Art was recommended to us and we were lucky he was!

On the day prior to our initial meeting she cancelled, indicating that it “would be too hard” to find a condo at my $350K cash price point. I called Ryan and he made time for me on my last day! I do not often take time to write reviews, however I wanted to take a moment to recognize Scott Steingrebe and his team at Neuman & Neuman Real Estate. My wife and I have worked with Scott for the last three years and during that time we have looked at a wide range of housing options, from condominiums to single family homes, from downtown to North County.
From our first interaction, I was impressed with Scott’s broad based knowledge of the real estate market and his willingness to adapt to our house finding needs. On our house hunting excursions, Scott was always punctual and well prepared. Each time we went to look at homes, it was apparent that he had done his research on the properties and was ready with answers about the homes, the locations and the local housing market.
Scott has an easy style and he puts you immediately at ease. You never feel like he is pressuring you to buy a home and rather you feel that you are exploring your options with a trusted partner. He provides an honest opinion about the positives and negatives of each property and is able to put them in context with your individual living situation.
During the course of our looking we submitted several bids on homes and each time Scott worked with us to find an offer that we were comfortable with. Scott was very patient with us during our evolution from looking for condominiums downtown to eventually looking for single family homes in North County and La Jolla.
When we finally found our dream home, Scott conducted a complete market analysis and recommended an appropriate and competitive offer. As the home had numerous offers at the time, he also helped us negotiate a final winning bid. In the course of the negotiation he was always available and responsive to our questions and concerns. He provided us with expert guidance and even though we set an aggressive escrow date he kept us on track and on time.
Finally, when we moved in and discovered that there were some outstanding issues that had not been addressed; Scott worked with the seller’s agent and ensured that all of our issues were rapidly resolved, completely and to our satisfaction.

It is truly a privilege and honor to recommend Mr. Ryan Degheri of the Berkshire Hathaway Home Services of California Properties of the Neuman & Neuman Team, as my San Diego real estate agent. Now that I have gotten to know and work with Ryan, I also consider him my friend as well. Couple of months ago, while living and working in the S.F. Bay Area, I came across a situation which required me to purchase a place in San Diego for work purposes. I needed this to occur right away and did not have too much time to continually fly back to San Diego, weekend after weekend in order to learn the city, and to get to view only a few places at a time. At around 9 PM on a Saturday night, I saw a condo on Zilliow.com and inquired about it by sending an email. Within minutes, I got a call from Ryan providing me with the details about the condo. I learned that the condo had many issues and was not in a good part of town. It was obvious that Ryan wasn’t just about a sale but he wanted to make sure I didn’t get a raw deal and in fact he wanted me to get exactly what I was looking for at the price I was willing to pay. He asked what it was I was looking for. I told him but I also told him that I didn’t think there were any nice condos within my budget, being that I had looked at every website and real estate site that I could think of to view what was available in San Diego. Obviously I was wrong and it takes a person like Ryan with his superior experience and knowledge of real estate to know that there is always the right place for the right person in every city, all you need to do is to know where to look or find the right agent whom has your back. Ryan told me not to worry. He stated that he would have a list with all the available condos within my budget for me in the morning. The next morning, as promised, Ryan called me and said that he had emailed with many choices that were all within my budget. After reviewing them I told him I was interested in flying down for one weekend to see them. I couldn’t believe the fact that there were actually 23 condos that I was very interested in viewing and all that I could afford. I told Ryan that I would like to view as many as possible. I purchased my ticket and flew down to San Diego 3-days later. Ryan picked me up from the airport and told me that he had gotten in touch with all the other real estate agents / owners / and tenants for us to view ALL 23 of them within the 2 days. I could not believe that it would be possible or even logistically probable to view them all, but once again I was wrong. Ryan had our scheduled synced with all the other parties and I was able to see ALL 23 within the 2 day period. It was not a rush job. In fact we had plenty of time to even visit some of them twice. This of course was possible because I knew exactly what I was looking for and had told Ryan what it was I wanted. However this would not have occurred so smoothly had it not been for Ryan’s pre-planning technics to make this event go as smoothly as it did. Ryan had predicted the amount of time I would need to view each, and he was right. There were some that I stayed longer in but there were some that it took less time. So all in all it worked out and saw ALL 23 of them, and as I stated some even twice as I was deciding between the 23. I told Ryan that I have never worked with a real estate agent that was so proficient, so professional, and so reliable in my life and that I wish all agents could learn from Ryan on how to take excellent care of their clients. I was given the first-class treatment, all because of Ryan’s dedication to satisfy his client. At the start of each day, Ryan would hand me a set of brochures that he had prepared the day before about each and every high rise that we were to visit that day. Within it were the units that we were planning to view, all the details about each and colorful photos of each so that I would remember which ones I saw and which ones I liked. The broachers where all in color and high quality paper. I honestly felt like king for a day. In speaking to other, I have learned that Ryan treats all of his clients this way. No wonder why he is so successful in finding the right home for the right person or family. Needless to say I did find the right condo and purchased. In fact the escrow just closed yesterday. I HIGHLY recommend Ryan to anyone wanting to buy just the right place for themselves or their family. You will call yourself “lucky” when you do reach out to him. There are only few people that I know that are so caring, so knowledgeable about real estate and its trends, so patient, so honest and so much in love with what they do. Ryan is one of those and anyone lucky enough to have him on his/her side will know the meaning of being treated like royalty. Thank you Ryan.

I had several options to choose from for a real estate agent. I had put calls in to 3 other companies regarding a certain property I saw advertized in the Sunday Union Tribune. I waited for the listing agent of the property to return my call, believing that she would be the best to represent the property in a knowledgable fashion. I never did get a call back, however my financial adviser put me in touch with Eddie Darcel. He phoned back within hours, and the next day I was viewing the property I had inquired about. Finding it didn’t meet my needs, I was able to locate an alternate property in Mission Valley which was ideal for my purposes. Escrow closed in approxiamtely 2 weeks and I was able to get the repairs I had requested, and a small credit applied for shades.

Let me say up front that I have not had the best experiences with real estate agents in the past. That said, Sarah Degheri completely changed my bias and blew me away with her professionalism, expertise, responsiveness and most importantly, her proactive handling of the transaction at every step in the process. She anticipated issues before they became problems and stepped in several times to assist others do their jobs in order to allow the sale to close on time. He is an excellent agent, and I would not hesitate in suing his services again or recommending him to friends. Very patient and thorough, he helped me find out not only a condo, but also what I really expected from the new place. Never pushed me to close a sale, even though I was taking my time, and was going back and forth between alternatives.
He provided a lot of information in the properties I was interested in, and set up visits in many, many places before I found the right one. I am very happy with my choice now. He was very clear on the pros and cons of every location, including new construction that could alter the views, and the value of properties. Very helpful in the negotiations. A great choice if you need an agent.

Listed, but didn’t sell my Condo home in 2016 in Little Italy, San Diego, CA.

I received a phone call from Greg Neuman congratulating me on our successful close of escrow within 30 minutes of recording. We had a very quick escrow (barely 3 weeks from listing to closing) Everything was handled professionally. Greg has a great team who led us through each step. Caroline was so enthusiastic and facilitated the listing paperwork. Laura handled the escrow details and kept us in the loop each step of the way. Greg was helpful from start to finish and the whole experience was exactly what we had hoped for. We would definitely recommend them for your real estate needs.

Scott Steingrebe provided excellent service and assisted us with the recent sale of our condo rental property. On Friday the tenant moved out. On Saturday morning, Scott was there with a painting crew and a handyman for the minor repairs. The condo was on the market within a few days and had an offer within a week. We accepted the full-price offer and recently closed escrow. Scott was easily accessible, timely, and provided frequent updates. I have used his assistance for this sale, as well as a prior purchase and I would highly recommend him to others in San Diego.

I can’t speak highly enough of Gregg and his team. They went over and beyond what I expected. Gregg was always accessible for my many questions during the process, and he provided wise, detailed advice from his years of experience. I tremendously valued his counsel for many different issues. He always left decisions up to me, but I am glad I listened to his advice in connection with our sale. He has a very diligent team of experts for every stage of the process. For example, he has a team for preparing the home for sale and listings, he has a team for showing the home, and he has a team that focuses on the escrow process. Every one on his team was an expert in what they do and worked with dedication and professionalism, and every one really went over and above what I expected. For example, my tenant was supposed to clean out the apartment for the photo shoot, but failed to do so. Instead of cancelling the photo shoot, Gregg’s team did the unexpected and cleaned up a very messy apartment without any complaining. They were all extremely professional and courteous at all times.

In another state outside of California, I have had to use other agents for other properties, and they don’t come close to Gregg’s team. I wish Gregg’s team were nationwide. Honestly, Gregg and his team set the gold standard for real estate services.

I was concerned about finding a realtor after having some bad luck in the past in recently selling 2 mountain properties in AZ and UT. Almost immediately after listing with Greg my fears vanished. Eddie was my realtor for my recent condo purchase. I initially wanted a downtown condo. Eddie has excellent knowledge the downtown area, with the pros and cons of each building and location. When I broadened my search to Hillcrest, Eddie again demonstrated great knowledge of the area. He is friendly and easy going, but still very professional. When we moved to San Diego, we found Art Lewis and he helped us find our downtown condo near Little Italy. We absolutely LOVED working with Art and when it came time for us to move due to a job change, we of course went back to Art to list our unit. He did a fabulous job marketing the property and within days we had multiple offers on our condo. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the San Diego market and we trusted his advice every step of the way.

We have purchased many properties in the past, but have never worked with a realtor that was so responsive. Art would ensure we had feedback from buyers and ultimately helped us make a smart decision to close at a higher price point then we thought may be possible. If myself or my husband ever texted Art at night or early morning, he responded right away to ensure we were always in the loop and had immediate communication. Amazing! I recently sold a condo, and used Scott Steingrebe from The Neuman Team. I was going through an emotional/stressful period of my life, and Scott was aware of this. Throughout the entire process Scott was exceptional about keeping me up-to-date on anything I needed to be aware of. Scott handled numerous things for me, including arranging the cleaning of my unit when it sold, finding a handyman to fix a few minor things and getting the carpets cleaned. It wasn’t until close to the end of escrow that I found out that Scott had been handling some stressful situations with the buyer that I wasn’t even aware of. Because Scott knew about the stress in my life, he was keeping me shielded from what most certainly would have been more stress because of my buyer. In my opinion this was beyond anything I would have expected, and greatly appreciated. I cannot say enough good things about Scott and the entire Neuman Team; they were all very professional and responsive to any question I had. This was an exceptionally smooth deal for me, although I know it wasn’t for Scott. As a seller in any situation that is appreciated, but even more so in my situation. Being that we were first time home buyers, we had high expectations and Ryan was super patient showing us close to 30 homes in this competitive market. This review is based on experience with Marsha Shepard. Marsha represented my Father when he wanted to buy a Condo in downtown San Diego in 2015 and we had nothing but a great experience with that purchase. With a prior experience like that I didn’t hesitate to call Marsha again when I was looking in San Diego.

I saw a residence I liked on Friday evening on the internet and called Marsha on Saturday morning with questions about it and she said come on out and I’ll show it to you. Being that Sunday was Mothers Day I figured I would have to wait another week to see it but Marsha said Sunday was fine. So I flew from Las Vegas Saturday evening and saw the residence on Sunday morning. Marsha immediately completed my offer paperwork without any hesitation and was able to secure the residence for me.

This review is actually for agent Ryan Degheri who is not listed on the web page. We purchased a $900k condo in a Marina District high rise. We had a very difficult lender (Union Bank, don’t use for a mortgage!). Ryan was low-key, effective and professional in the long process of working with us to find a unit we liked within some rather challenging personal time constraints. Ryan stayed calm and was effective in dealing with the fall out from the exasperating loan process and the other bumps and grinds that always seem to be part of a real estate transaction. Initially, I called a number on a property website. Ruth A. Allsbrook (Newman and Newman office) happened to become my real estate agent. I purchased my first condo last week. Ruth is very knowledgeable, kind, and professional. Ruth educated me what I need to know and to expect. Her responses are always timely, helpful, and accurate. She made me to feel comfortable throughout the process. I feel I am very lucky that I had her to walk me through this process.

I have known Art for 14 years. He helped us purchase 3 homes and sell 3 homes that were located in Downtown San Diego, Sorrento Valley, and Carmel Valley. Art always obtained the best possible price for our homes even during very difficult market conditions. Art has a great work ethic and is a genuinely nice person. He comes well prepared for selling or buying appointments by preparing a significant amount of research – homes recently sold in the area, background information beyond the MLS, plans for the day with appointments lined up, and recommendations and issues already outlined. Art follows up quickly with requests, emails, texts, etc. He is always ready to go the extra mile for his clients. For example, our security system on a house that was for sale while we were out of town. Art figured out the problem and quickly fixed a broken panel. I highly recommend Art for purchasing or selling your home.

Our experience with Neuman & Neuman Real Estate group started off with a rocky start. We walked in to the office to meet and work with an agent that was unresponsive and truly not helpful, even cancelled our showing 5 minutes prior to our meeting time. As we were about to call another group, we received a call that the agent was fired, and Ryan Dhegari will be taking over our file. I was a little hesitant, however, decided to give Neuman & Neuman another chance, and couldn’t have been happier!

We bought our first home with the help of Ryan Dhegari in less than 2 months. I can’t say enough about how great Ryan is to work with, his extensive knowledge of the market, and his hard work and dedication. He walked us through the entire process and responded to all of our questions within minutes no matter what time of day it was. His negotiation skills are one of the strongest I’ve seen and helped to get us below asking price and below appraisal price. I truly can’t say enough positive things about Ryan. From the moment we began scouting locations for our investment property to the point of closing he has been an invaluable source of good information and advice as well as a wise negotiator on our behalf. His knowledge of the rental and homeowners market, his incredible responsiveness, his accurate assessment of risk when it comes to submitting an offer and his calm problem solving mode in the face of unforeseen setbacks – in short, just the guy for the job.
We had worked with other agents in the past and Art is in a whole new league. We are using him to sell our house later this summer.

In the San Diego downtown market you cannot press your luck with a rookie outfit. Its ultra competitive and fast moving so you need someone with the expertise and access to work for you. Ryan helped me to find a one of a kind property downtown and I couldn’t be happier. I have worked with several realtors over the years. My husband and I recently closed on our first home. As first time home buyers, it was a bit of a daunting process but Ryan Degheri from the Neuman team did an incredible job making us feel comfortable and supported through the whole process. Ryan was highly accessible answering any questions (via both phone calls and emails) quickly which put my mind at ease. Ryan gave expert advice when it came to making an offer and counter offer and my husband and I couldn’t be more excited when we heard we we’re accepted. We also spoke with Sarah on the Neuman team, who also provided us with a wealth of knowledge. We had the pleasure of working with one of Gregg’s associates, Ryan Degheri, as first time home buyers. I cannot recommend both Ryan and his entire team enough. They guided us through the entire process professionally and personally. We love our new home so don’t plan on moving, but if we do we would look to Ryan and Gregg’s team in the future.

Side note, I believe they specialize in Downtown and Coronado properties, but they had complete knowledge of properties in all areas, and worked with us to find the exact place we wanted.

I would not say results are not typical, but we found our home the first day we toured homes, had an offer in the next day, and closed on time 40 days later.

The most important quality to us was someone trustworthy, who looked out for his client’s interests at all times, who was knowledgeable and competent, and most of all, someone whom we felt comfortable with through all phases of home-buying. From the first meeting and throughout the home-buying process, Art embodied all these qualities and more.

From beginning to end (home searching to close of escrow), Art helped us find a home that fit all of our needs in our budget in less than 10 weeks. We talked to Art almost every day during this time through email, text messages, and phone calls. He was always available to answer any questions and address any concerns during that time and even after the process was done.

Best real estate experience ever! When you hire Gregg, you are in fact hiring a team. The value of that team becomes evident as you move from sales and marketing, to contract, to escrow then to close. There’s always a team member looking after your transaction, someone to talk to if questions arise, and Gregg was always available and personally took on responsibility for showing our condo. We closed in 45 days, after having gone to contract in only 30 days after listing with Gregg. Can’t do better than that!

Wonderful real estate agent and more importantly a great friend

“I was very fortunate 5 years ago when I was paired up with Ryan Degheri on Torrey Pines golf course. During our round we realized that we both live downtown San Diego. Ryan had mentioned during our round that he was a real estate agent and was very familiar with the downtown market. I had just moved to San Diego with my wife from Manhattan, NY. We knew we would eventually buy in San Diego, but we had no time frame. Ryan handed me his business card when we left the golf course that day. Since that day at Torrey Pines, Ryan has become one of our closest friends. When 4 units went on the market in La Vita we told Ryan we wanted to look at all of them. He immediately got us into all the units and helped us through the whole buying process. Buying in California is very different than when we purchased our home in NYC. Ryan was very helpful with this new experience. Plus, we had a very unique loan from NFCU and Ryan took the time to call our loan officer to make sure the loan would work with the building we were buying in. When we started to negotiate, Ryan was very knowledgeable with the process. He even managed to get us a credit toward some of the repairs. Never missed a single detail.

““I am writing to bring your attention to the outstanding service I received from Jennifer Holba during my recent transactions with Neumann & Neumann.  I originally met Jen when looking at a property on Vancouver Street in North Park.  Scott was supposed to meet me there, but there was a problem getting out of downtown San Diego during ComicCon, so Jen met me there the next day.  Looking back, I’m thrilled it was her that came to meet me.  I liked Jen right away and knew I could work with her.  We talked a little bit that day about what I was looking for, but I was about to go on vacation for 11 days in Italy.  She set up the email notifications for me in my target neighborhood and the plan was that if I saw anything I was interested in, I’d call her.  Otherwise, we’d hit the ground running when I got back from vacation.  I found the Angeleno house on Zillow and texted Jen asking if we could go look at it.  I felt immediately connected to the house and wanted to make an offer.  At that point I had not yet listed my condo for sale and my trip to Italy was less than 2 weeks out.

We submitted the offer on the Angeleno house just days before I signed the contract with Scott to sell my Calle Cristobal condo.  The Angeleno inspection revealed a lot of work to be done and this was all communicated to me the day before I left for Italy.  I was freaked out about how many things were noted on the inspection that needed to be fixed and was nervous about having just listed my condo for sale if the house I wanted was not livable.  You, Caroline and Jen all helped me through that – thank you!

But Jen stayed with me throughout the entire process.  While I was away, she arranged for contractors to come to the Angeleno house and provide estimates for the work that needed to be done.  The seller’s Agent on that property wasn’t providing the same leverl of service thatJen was, so Jen picked up the slack there.  On the Calle Cristobal property we hoped for multiple offers, so Jen arranged fro an Open House there while I was out of town, and even went so far as to straighten the place up and clean the litterbox that morning.  During all this time I was in Italy and we stayed in touch via email and What’sApp – she downloaded it on her phone so we could stay in touch while I was out of the country.  As we got closer to our close date I realized how much she was doing for me AND she was also picking up slack where the buyer’s agent on Calle Cristobal AND the seller’s agent on Angeleno were lacking.

This is a lot of detail, but I remember it all so vividly – everything she did that helped the process go so smoothly.  She was in touch with me, the loan officer, and both escrow agents.  She never missed a single detail.  And in the end when my move date got pushed up I lost my cleaning service appointment and she was able to take care of that for me as well.  She recommended the moving company too.  Jen never missed a detail, never dropped a ball anywhere, and picked up where others in the process were lacking.  What could have been a very stressful process for me just wasn’t.  she is a powerhouse of a worker and she’s always smiling a positive and encouraging.  She says “It’s not work when you love what you do.”
